This is a sweet story of love in the spotlight.It is also the story of how a stressful relationship effects the relationships with those who are the best friends of those involved. Simon's relationship with Roger, his best friend,is a mirror for his relationship with Dec. It is a believable depiction of the stresses of love when the media are dogging your every move and how those things can get in the way of how people feel. This is by no means the best book I have read but it is an endearing tale of two people trying to make it work. You don't have to be a sports fan to get like this story but I think it would help.
