Inmate 1577Inmate 1577 by Alan Jacobson

My rating: 1 of 5 stars

**I did not finish this book.
I found this book slow and a little boring. The 1950's crime and then the following story of the farther and the boy was sad but didn't hold my attention and the present day crime for all it's gore was the same. I found I just didn't connect with any of the characters and I got no sense of the killer either to spark my interest to keep me reading. I really wanted to like this as I did like the present day opening gambit of the brutal killing, I thought it was brave to depict such a brutal crime in detail. But the book just crept along after that and lost momentum for me. I would say read this if you like your mystery thrillers to be slow and thoughtful this is the book for you but I like mine high octane and this book is not anywhere near that.
