This is the summary off the back of the book.
Seven months ago, Len Parker lost his partner of more than twenty years, and he isn’t sure how to feel about his blossoming attraction to Chris, one of his farmhands. Hesitant and still hurt, Len remains aloof and distant until he’s goaded into teaching Chris to ride.
Fresh out of a thirty-year career with the Marines, Chris can explore his sexuality openly for the first time in his life, but what he needs more than anything is peace. He’s convinced Len doesn’t like him until he digs a little deeper, and then, armed with hope, Chris sets out to prove that love can provide the healing he and Len so desperately need
This is what I think of the book.
This is a sweet story of a man finding love again after the loss of his long time partner.
The simplicity of this story is what makes it work so well, it really is about the patience of one man. Chris just waits Len out and shows him that he can love again with out betraying the memory of Cliff, his dead life partner. this is a very short read but really lovely. Most of Chris and Len relationship is played out in the other books so it was nice to see how they got together but reading this one did make me want to read Cliff and Lens story so that is my next read.
My Rating: I LOVED this!!
