This book is from: My own e-book collection.
Micah Marius is fourth of seven brothers, warriors that fight against the demons of his world. He's used to fighting hard, being in life or death situations on a daily basis, and pushing the softer part of his personality to the side. He isn't prepared for his reaction when he meets Riley, a sexy little vampire doctor and his fated mate. Hell, Micah isn't even gay, but he can't seem to control his reaction to the man that he knows belongs to him. Riley is a vampire doctor. He's also unconventional, secretive, and dealing with a heavy case of lust toward the warrior in his care.

My review

Well now, I have read other works by this author so I knew this would be hot, what I didn't realise was that I would LOVE it!!
What I love about it is she has taken all the best bits of the other vampire series out there and made this one her own. I see bits of Lara Adrian's and J R Ward's Vampire world view but the author goes one step further an makes Vampires in her world just like us in the way they live except they drink blood and of course all the neat stuff like speed and strength, they can go out in the day. This only changes if they go demon, then they become more like the vampire of traditional myth. This twist on the vampire myth rings all the right bells with me then add in the soul mate angle and I am in heaven. As an opener to a new series this was great, we got to meet lots of the main players and I liked that our hero was arrogant and a bit of ass to start with because it gave him a human side and he was what you would expect from an alpha male to whom people didn't say no. Add to that the fact he is a quick learner and you have the match to a fire that I hope will spread through all the books in this series, which I might add I now have to buy!!
