For TV producer Melissa Moore, crisis management comes with the job. From employee disputes to her high-maintenance boss, there’s not much she hasn’t seen or can’t handle.

But no one—including Melissa—expects a fistfight during the ten o’clock news. When sexy-but-crazy Alyssa Andrews lands a punch on her co-anchor’s face, Melissa jumps on set to help. She’s determined that WSGA’s reputation won’t be destroyed on her watch.

Both anchors are fired and Melissa agrees to fill in—but not before polishing her look from haircut to heels. While the new Melissa wows WSGA viewers, her personal life starts fraying at the edges. Melissa’s husband is away more than he’s home, leaving cryptic Post-it notes in his wake. Her mother’s antics spiral out of control at the nursing home and a stalker decides Melissa is her next target.

What happens next? Stay Tuned to find out…

My review

This book was a real surprise, I was a little unsure what to expect but what I got was a really great story about a woman going through the mine field of her life and learning new things about herself and about her marriage.
This book is a journey of one woman back to the life she wanted and what she learns along the way. I loved all the Dr Phil quotes her best friend gave her along the way, mainly because they were appropriate for her situation and lets face it Dr Phil is a legend and it was nice to see the positive effect that kind of thinking can have on a persons life, even if it is in a book. As we watch Mels life unravel and see how she copes we are given hope that things can work out and that people can change for the better. This is a real feel good book with a suspense edge just to keep you on your toes and I have to say I would stay tuned for a second book or anything else this author writes!!

Author bio

The Deep South is the perfect setting for Lauren Clark’s novels; contemporary fiction sprinkled with secrets, sunshine, and surprises. Her heroines are real women with real obstacles in their lives; challenges that require strength, sacrifice, and personal growth. And while it’s convenient to have a prince charming on standby, Lauren’s heroines are capable of creating their own happily-ever afters–with brains, not beauty, saving the day.
A former TV anchor, Lauren is a reformed news junkie, non-reformed coffee drinker, and certified library geek. She loves the color pink, her Electra Townie bike, and any place she can see the ocean and stick her toes in the sand. Lauren adores her family, paying it forward, eight hours of sleep a night, homemade macaroni and cheese, and true-blue friends.
