Review written by: Kerry

In this Rewind series I will be looking at books that I have read in the past, some of them will have been reviewed early on in this blogs life and some I read before I started blogging. It will be interesting to see how my review style has changed, if it has. I think I have grown as a reviewer, what do you think??

A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case.

Special Agent Ty Grady is pulled out of undercover work after his case blows up in his face. He's cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does. But when he's paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it's hate at first sight. Garrett is the perfect image of an agent: serious, sober, and focused, which makes their partnership a classic cliché: total opposites, good cop-bad cop, the odd couple. They both know immediately that their partnership will pose more of an obstacle than the lack of evidence left by the murderer.

Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again — this time at them. Now on the run, trying to track down a man who has focused on killing his pursuers, Grady and Garrett will have to figure out how to work together before they become two more notches in the murderer's knife.

My Review

OMFG this book was not only was a damn good suspense thriller but was also a very intense love story between two very damaged men.
Zane and Ty were two side of the same coin and both alpha males in the extreme I am no way touchy feely and that made their relationship all the more interesting. The case they were on was fascinating and the killer was a real surprise, I love it when I dont guess who did it. This is a first class thriller with a tight plot with more twists and turns than a ball of string. If you like to be kept guessing then you will love this!!

  1. Keeper of the Crystal Lake. This is one of the few books that has always stuck with me...it's magical, full of action and suspense, and romantic. It's also one of the first Fantasy books I ever read. I just love it!

  2. If I were to re-visit books, it would probably be the first one I posted a review about, Letters from the Vieux Carre. I have picked up more of my own style since then and It would be interesting to see if I would say the same things.
